MWC 2015 as seen from Tucano. Let’s see what happened.
Precisely a few weeks ago we were here to give you a preview. Do you remember? (link post). Opinions on the new Samsung Galaxy S6 are spreading just like those on the HTC models. Barcellona is in fact a city full of surprises, and so once a year it becomes the world’s hi-tech capital. All to host the latest mobile phone innovations. Could you miss out on an event like this? Of course not. So we took the first flight to Barcelona and set up our stand. Because innovation needs to be seen up close.
Here’s what happened at the Mobile World Congress 2015.
Samsung & Co.
Many parties have a drawcard guest, the most talked about, and the one that makes a difference. The World Mobile Congress had one as well: Samsung. Because there was an enormous buzz about the two most awaited products at the fair: Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. The company amazed all by abandoning the plastic shell in favour of the elegance of glass and metal. All of this and new NFC functions and augmented reality.
We were also at Barcelona. Whilst Samsung launched presented its latest models, we launched Libro and Elektro for Galaxy S6.
Libro is our eco-leather case with a rigid shell that withstands knocks in a flawless manner. The top for those looking for comfort in every object. Elektro has been designed for those for whom style is a priority. The case is made from transparent polycarbonate to protect the device without altering its design. Which is your favourite?
We have of course seen new entries in the mobile world but innovations for us here at Tucano clearly don’t stop at the covers for Galaxy S6. At stand N43 in Hall 7 we also presented Tape, our new universal smartphone case with innovative Join Me technology: a new internal fixing system with removable adhesive.
Tape has been designed to protect your device in an intelligent way. It features a front cover so that you can talk with the flap closed and has a quick snap mode on the back: a folding flag so that you can use the camera whenever you want. So convenient!
The Mobile World Congress was not just about Samsung S6. The other brands certainly didn’t rest on their laurels and presented tablets that are highly innovative from every point of view.
Sony presented its Xperia Z4, a new Android tablet with a number of strong points such as the 1600×2560 pixel resolution, the LTE 4G module and the option of recording Full HD video. Lenovo revealed 3 new tablet models that are very interesting particularly with respect to the quality-price trade-off and Huawei also had something to offer. Do you remember our post on the Chinese tigers? Well it seems that the Chinese company has presented a device worthy of respect at Barcellona: the Mediapad X2. Features? The new tablet combines a 7” diagonal with a 1920×1200 FDH display, LTE Cat.6, rear 13 megapixel camera and an Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
As you’ve seen, this year the Mobile World Congress again revealed some great innovations in the hi-tech world. Not just smartphones and tablets. HTC, to name just one, floored everyone with a new augmented realty viewer. What product amazed you the most?
