Tucano at Milano Design Week 2011

“Dynamic Design from West to East” is the title of the event organized by Tucano on the occasion of Fuorisalone 2011. Special guest, the japanese design studio Kom&Co. that designed the Yellow Line Collection: three new Tucano bags for the japanese market.

The event will be the right place to have a preview of all the new products to be introduced this year. Like Magico, the cover for iPad 2 designed to be the perfect match to the new Apple Smart Covers, and the classic iPad 2 folders and cases like Schermo, Colore and Work_In.

Great news in the field of accessories too, from the new audio [e]motion collection, seven headset fully compatible with all digital music players, smartphones and tablet (iPod, iPhone e iPad included of course!), to the new camera bags, up to the latest USB (2.0 and 3.0), HDMI and Dock cables and the new product made in gel, following the path traced by the success of FreskoGel.

Let's all meet there from April 12 to the 16, at the Tucano Showroom, in Piazzale Cadorna, 4 (MM Cadorna) in Milan.

Tucano, Lighting the Bags

On the air on YouTube, the video of the evening which was held last April in our Ahowroom at the Milan Design Week 2010.

Guests of honor architects and designers Alessandro and Francesco Mendini who designed a really special collection for Tucano. With them, Roberto Paoli, Design Director of Toucano, who instead presented its new line of lamps produced by Nemo Cassina.

Tucano technical sponsor of the Tree of Light

Tucano will participate as technical sponsor to the project Albero di Luce (Tree of Light), a magnificent example of urban art wich will raise in Largo Cairoli, a few steps away from Tucano’s showroom on piazzale Cadorna.

The Tree of Light will brighten Milan’s nights with its sparkling lights from December 18th to January 18th. The innovative example of kinetic art, thought as a tribute to Futurism wich had one of its focal points in Milan, was designed by Antonio Barrese and is the largest installation of its kind ever realised in Milan: 33 meters high -like a nine floor building-, 8 turning arms, more than 20.000 led lights.

Your life in living color

Following the success of the Second Skin folders from the Colore collection, Tucano introduces four new products for its all-color line: the GPS pouch, the wireless mouse, the mousepad, and the USB light for notebooks.

The new products join the already available pouches for hard-disks and cables and the Colore folders, fully compatible with devices 10” up to 18.4”. All the products, available in red, purple, orange, blu, pink and black, can be bought separately at the most important retailers and at the recently opened Tucano showroom in Milan.

Sneak preview of Windows 7 at the Tucano showroom

To have a sneak preview of the new operating system from Microsoft, Tucano will host a special Windows 7 party on October 22nd at its brand new Tucano showroom in Milan (Piazzale Cadorna 4 -MM1-MM2 Cadorna FNM Triennale).

The whole day, qualified staff will be at hand and happy to provide more information about the latest incarnation of Windows. The latest HP laptops, designed to fully support Windows 7, will be available too.
